What's New in Buymanager 5.1?

This major release focuses on optimizing costing control, enhancing security, and improving negotiation processes.

 1. Multi-Quantity Costing Control

  • Feature: Introduces a new "Multi-Quantity" function allowing users to compare and control multiple costings simultaneously. It helps identify data inconsistencies like incoherent pricing, missing prices, or incorrect MOQs, and enables direct or manual price modifications.
  • Benefit:  Provides a powerful tool to validate data coherence after final costing, ensuring accuracy and reducing errors with only a few clicks.

2. Enhanced WebQuote Security

  • Feature: WebQuote now supports Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), significantly increasing its security. To utilize this, users need to modify the server name and port in their user settings (e.g., Address: `https://rqt.buymanager.biz`, Port: `443`).
  • Benefit: Ensures a more secure environment for your daily WebQuote operations, protecting sensitive data.

 3. Optimized Nego Module Forecast Upload

  • Feature: The forecast upload feature within the Negotiation module has been improved. Administrators now have better control over re-uploading forecasts and receive a warning pop-up before proceeding. Note that only administrators can re-upload forecasts after RFQs are sent, and re-upload is not possible if the forecast has been consolidated.
  • Benefit: Provides administrators with greater control and oversight, preventing unintended re-uploads and ensuring data integrity in the negotiation process.
