Once enought quotation have been uploaded in the database. You can open supplier – Manufacturer analysis.
The goal of this analysis is to define the negotiation strategies to adopt with one supplier. This analysis is mainly oriented to define a per manufacturer strategy.
Select the supplier you want to study and click on Display in the column Summary
Global interface
Each line of the table presents one manufacturer requested lines for the current supplier.
The table is splitted in two parts :
- The blue part, witch correspond to the supplier position on the selected reference price
- The white lines that represent this year position.
In this table everything is computed according to this year best price.
The position combo allows you to define how to consider if a supplier is best of :
- By manufacturer : the supplier is the best of for a requested line if the supplier have the best price on the part for the same manufacturer
- By part : the supplier is the best of for a requested line if the supplier has the best price on the component without taking in consideration manufacturer ( the supplier can be best of on an alternate source)
Reference price position
The blue columns of the table displayed this year’s position for the supplier on the lines where he is the supplier of the reference price. The reference priced used can be swap using the reference price combo.
The following information are displayed :
- Turnover (of reference price) (Last price price x Forecast Qty)
- Represents the turnover (for this year) of the lines where selected reference price is affected to the current supplier
- Turnover (of reference price) best of
- Represents the share of reference price turnover, where the supplier have the best price of this year
- Turnover (of reference price) Not best of
- Represents the share of reference price turnover, where the supplier have not the best price of this year
- Turnover (of reference price) Not answer
- Represents the share of reference price turnover, where the supplier did not respond this year
The goal is to define the evolution of the turnover potentially affected to the supplier according to the reference price
This year position
The white columns of the table display the position of the supplier in the current negotiation.
The following information are displayed :
Total Turnover requested
- Represents turnover (estimated with the best of price) of all the lines requested to the supplier
Nb of Requested lines
Represents number of lines requested to the supplier
- Turnover best of Supplier
- Represents turnover (estimated with the best of price) of all the lines where the supplier have the best price
% Turnover best of
- Ratio between the total turnover requested and the part where the supplier have the best price
Best of lines count
- Count of the lines where the supplier have the best price
% lines Best of
- Ratio between the number of lines requested to the supplier and the number of lines where the supplier have the best price
Turnover not best of
- Represents turnover (estimated with the best of price) of all the lines where the supplier does not have the best of
- The small icon in this column displays a window with the repartition of best price suppliers (competition)
- Total quoted lines of supplier
- Count of the lines where the supplier have proposed a price
- Costing rate of supplier
- Ratio between the number of lines requested to the supplier and the number of lines where the supplier have proposed a price
Not quoted Turnover of supplier
- Represents turnover (estimated with the best of price) of all the lines where the supplier does not provide a price
Not quoted rate of supplier
Ratio between the number of lines requested to the supplier and the number of lines where the supplier does not provide a price
Usage of this interface
- Use the filter and the sort in the table to define your priorities for the face to face negotiation
- Use this analysis to make a feedback to your supplier and help them to lower their prices
