WebQuote service - specific supplier price configuration

 

What is WebQuote?

• A service in Buymanager that provides real-time pricing from multiple distributors
• Allows access to negotiated prices and specific currency settings
• Integrates with major distributors like Digikey, Mouser, Farnell, RS, Arrow, and more

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

• Most suppliers show one pricing line in WebQuote:
  •  
    •  
      • If negotiated price exists: Appears as "supplier (nego)
      • Without negotiated price: Appears as "supplier (public)"
      • Exception: Digikey can display both pricing types simultaneously. 

Prerequisites

• Buymanager software installed
• Valid WebQuote activation key
• Administrator rights for company account setup 
• Distributor account credentials (varies by suppliers) 

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

• ONE WebQuote account per company (not per user) 
• Some distributors require specific API keys or contracts.

Configuration process for specific pricing

1. Open a web browser and visit: http://accountrqt.buymanager.biz/

2. Enter your login credentials 

- WebQuote account email 

- Activation key ( found in Buymanager > settings > user > WebQuote) 

3. Enter the distributor-specific information as follows: 

• Farnell: 
  •  
    • Choose the store (region-specific) 
    • Add your login and password (given to you by your Farnell contact) 
    • If applicable, check the mini-reel free settings 

• RS Components: 
  •  
    • Add your RS ID key (given to you by your RS contact) 

Note: currently only supports the France region for negotiated prices 

• TME 
  •  
    • Add API Key (given to you by your Mouser contact) 
    • Add your login (login and Password) 

• Mouser 
  •  
    • Add API Key (given to you by your Mouser contact) 
    • Set the currency you wish to use 
    • If applicable, check the mini-reel free settings 

• Arrow/MyArrow 
  •  
    • Add your Customer ID and Secret Key (given to you by your Arrow contact) 
    • MyArrow supports EURO currency only 
    • Arrow can be use for the US pricing
      •  

• The same principles will apply to other suppliers: Future, Avnet Abacus, Avnet EBV, Avnet Silica, and Rutronik 

• Future Specificity: 
  •  
    • Add your main Key (given to you by your Future contact) 
    • You can add a second key in another currency for your specific pricing(given to you by your Future contact) 
    • You can add the field after each key, to help you remember wich region and currency your key is linked to. 

Note: you can choose the inventory location between Europe (EU)/ Asia / North America (NA)/ all. If you choose the location "Asia", but are looking for a part only available in North America, it will show the stock information in your customer as "NA: XXXX". 
This mean that if the user use the Auto-valuation (see here) it won´t consider this information in the Stock Strategy. 

Example in Costing view:

If you are using a key in USD and the region North America, but the part searched is available only in Asia, the results won´t show in the Buymanager costing.

• Digikey Specificity: 
  •  
    • Choose the local site 
    • Choose the currency 
    • You will then have to regularly log in to your Digikey account, from within the WebQuote settings (see here) 

4. Save your configuration: 

•  
  • Click "user update" to save all settings 
  • Verify if the settings are applied correctly
