This article guides you on how to customize the display size and font within your Buymanager application.

Why do you need this?

Optimizing Buymanager's display size can significantly improve your comfort and efficiency. This is especially useful on high-resolution monitors where text might appear too small, or if you simply prefer a larger font for better visibility and readability.

Who is this for, and what are the prerequisites?

This guide is for all Buymanager users who wish to personalize their viewing experience. However, modifying the configuration file requires administrative rights on your computer, as the file is located in a system directory. Please ensure you have the necessary permissions before proceeding.

How to Adjust Buymanager Display Settings

To change the zoom level and font size in Buymanager, you will need to edit a configuration file. Follow these steps carefully:

1.  Close Buymanager: Ensure that the Buymanager application is completely closed before proceeding.
2.  Navigate to the Configuration Folder:

  • Open File Explorer (Windows Explorer).
  • Go to the following path: `C:\ProgramData\Pertilience`
  • Note:* The `ProgramData` folder is often hidden by default. If you cannot see it, you may need to enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" in your File Explorer options.

3.  Locate the Configuration File:  Inside the `Pertilience` folder, look for a file named `Buymanager.ini` (or a similar `.ini` file related to Buymanager).
4.  Open the File for Editing:

  • Right-click on the `Buymanager.ini` / "Buymanager_64.ini" file.
  • Select "Open with..." and choose "Notepad" or another plain text editor.
  • Important:  Before making any changes, it's highly recommended to create a backup copy of this file. You can do this by right-clicking the file and selecting "Copy," then "Paste" in the same folder to create a "Buymanager - Copy.ini" file.

5.  Modify the Zoom Setting:

  • Once the file is open, look for a section typically labeled `[DISPLAY]`.
  • Under this section, you will find a line that looks like `zoom=100`.
  • Change the number `100` to your desired zoom percentage. For example`zoom=125` for 125% zoom (larger) or `zoom=150` for 150% zoom (even larger)
    • The `zoom` value controls the overall scaling of the application's interface, including text and window elements.

6.  Save the Changes: After modifying the `zoom` value, save the file. Go to `File > Save` in Notepad.
7. Restart Buymanager: Open Buymanager. The application should now launch with your new display settings.

Support and Troubleshooting

  • If changes don't apply: Ensure Buymanager was fully closed before editing the file. Double-check that you saved the file correctly and that you have administrative permissions in the `ProgramData` folder.
  • If the display looks incorrect:  You can revert to the original settings by changing the `zoom` value back to `100` or by replacing the modified file with your backup copy.
