This guide explains how to install the Buymanager client application on a user's desktop computer, connecting it to a centralized Buymanager server installation.

 

Prerequisites: To be done by IT / Admin

- Buymanager must already be installed on the server
- The Buymanager primary installation directory on the server must be shared
- The user installing the client must have read and write permissions to this shared directory

> Note: Writing permissions should be granted on the Buymanager installation directory to allow automatic updates. It's recommended to use Administrator authorization for the installation process.

 

 


Installation Process

1. Launch Client Desktop Installation

- Access the shared directory from your client's desktop
- Launch "INSTALL.EXE" from this directory

 

2. Follow the Client Installation Steps

- Select your preferred language

- Click Next Installation is done. 

 

3. Run Buymanager

- Accept the Buymanager Software agreement and click "next"
-  Set the server connection details and click "next" (replace localhost by your server ip)

- These settings depend on the location of the database
> Note: For Hyperfile database, the port is 4900. For MySQL database, the port is 3306.

 

3. Select the production database and click "next"

4. On the Buymanager Login page: activate your license (under login > more > activate license > paste the license's text that was sent to you) 

5. Enter your user account and password to log into Buymanager

 

After completing these steps, the Buymanager client will be installed on your desktop computer and connected to the central server, allowing you to access all the procurement functionality of the system.
