Buymanager takes into account the end-of-life information (EOL) of electronic components. When requesting for quotations suppliers, they are sometimes forced to rate your needs on alternatives sources. Suppliers have the option to notify the Buymanager user that the original source requested is EOL. Upon receipt of the supplier Rating, the Buymanager User may take this information into account and change the status of the source to reflect the supplier's comment.

How to modify the RFQ template in order to take into account the EOL information from the supplier requested?

  1. Open the RFQ Template
  2. In step RFQ >> Add the column "EOL"
  3. In step Quotation >> Add the column "EOL"
  4. Save and use this template to request supplier for quotation

How to take EOL information into account when receiving the supplier quotation?

  1. Upload a quotation containing an EOL information
  2. You can see a column EOL in the quotation : The check box is UP if the supplier informed you that the original source is EOL
  3. The user have the possibility to take into account this information

    • Click on Source management >> “Save EOL status” if you want to have this information visible in the part sheet, in the costing and in the costing report.

The status of the original source doesn’t change because you could continue to work with this source but the EOL information appears in the costing to carry on the users when he selects prices.
